Commissions!

A few weeks ago I got a message via Facebook. A very distant friend I met years ago saw my abstract character designs on my Facebook wall. He later called me to discuss all details of his new Disc Golf business and his future plans and ideas. The story's quite long so I'll keep it short. He would like me to design cute animal characters with human characteristics (like in Zootopia, etc.) to place as road and field signs for Disc Golf courses/fields other businesses can hire and buy from him. The main idea is that I create the characters who show or explain a very short story or instructions to the player, to make the whole course more interesting to finish.

In august I will share my first three designs of a rabbit character and find out if they'll be what he's looking for. The job will pay well and be a long term project. The characters will be sold and hired to other companies and other companies, like amusement parks, will be able to order custom characters, too.

Another goal during my time in Gist accomplished!
